Isn’t it amazing how summer quickly approaches?

Red Ink, in honor of another successful year of artistic excellence, intends to publish an end-of-year newsletter featuring superlative submissions from students of Wellesley Public Schools. This newsletter shall be published on the 21 May, 2021. To participate, please create an artistic or written submission before the twenty-first of May in any medium that dialogues with “summer,” our newsletter’s theme.  You may consider dialoguing with the following prompts: 

What excites you about summer?

Summer vacation provides time free from structure; how do you plan on using this time?

Summer is often romanticized in society; in what ways do your summers parallel those which are depicted in media?

Ultimately, Red Ink wants to know what makes summer special for you!

Please submit a written or visual piece responding to the above prompts, or a general encapsulation of what summer may mean to you. Email submissions to redinkmag@gmail.com to be included in the newsletter; only five superlative submissions, chosen by our editors, shall be featured in our end-of-year newsletter.
